Professorial Chair Lecture Series: Science and Innovation for a Climate-Ready Philippines The first Professorial Chair Lecture (PCL) Series entitled "Science and Innovation for a Climate-ready Philippines" will be held on September 24, 2014 (Wednesday) at 1pm at the National Engineering Center AVR, University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City.
The event, organized by the Oscar M. Lopez Center for Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Management Foundation, Inc. (The OML Center), the University of the Philippines, and Lopez Group Foundation Inc. (LGFI) will showcase the studies of OML Center’s Professorial Chair Awardees regarding the application of science and technology in making the Philippines ready for climate-related phenomena. The awardees are Dr. Enrico Paringit, who will introduce a technology to help address the impacts of flooding in the agriculture sector, and Dr. Carlos Primo David, who will present the state of the Philippines’ water resources.
