No words can fully express our deep sympathy for our fellow employees who lost relatives, property and well-being when super typhoon Yolanda ravaged our country. To you, in particular, we extend our hand of kinship, grieving as you do, and at the same time standing by you as you move to recover your bearings after this calamity.
As an initial step, the HR Council together with the Lopez Group Foundation are putting together hygiene and food kits for employees who are based in Leyte, Samar, Negros, Iloilo, Capiz and other affected areas.
We will enlarge our efforts accordingly as we strive to put together a comprehensive database of our employees affected.
Yolanda, or Haiyan, with sustained winds of 315 kilometers per hour and gusts as strong as 380 kph, is unprecedented and to date, the strongest typhoon ever to hit land anywhere in the world in recorded history.
You survived this tragedy for a greater purpose. Know that you are not alone.
