This year’s festive season is filled with joy at Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc. (KCFI) as we mark our 25th anniversary. This milestone is a time to reflect and celebrate the many children, schools, parents, teachers and communities that were touched by our mission.
As we celebrate the holiday season and welcome the new year, Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc. (KCFI) stays committed to its mission to promote equal learning opportunities for Filipino children, bringing focus on early childhood development (ECD) and forging partnerships to pave the way for a brighter future for our young learners.
On its 25th year of supporting education and early childhood development (ECD) through curriculum-based broadcasting and training programs for educators and other care providers of children, and alongside the celebration of National Children’s Month this November, Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc. (KCFI) remains steadfast in its mission for the Filipino children.
In celebration of National Children’s Month, we are called to reflect on how we can nurture safe, caring spaces for our youngest citizens to grow and thrive. This year, the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Council’s theme, “Connecting Minds and Hearts: Discovering Social and Emotional Learning,” reminds parents, caregivers and communities of their essential role in supporting children’s social and emotional development—skills fundamental to lifelong learning.
As National and World Teachers’ Month comes to a close, I reiterate and reflect with deep pride and gratitude on the incredible work of our child development workers and teachers (CDW/Ts). On Sept. 27 and Oct. 4, we gathered virtually for the “Early Care Matters” online conference, where dedicated preschool teachers came together to focus on improving the health, nutrition and caregiving practices that benefit our youngest learners.
