The biggest classroom on air continues with the “Stay at Home, Learn at Home” campaign to help keep children learning safely at home.
With the closure of schools due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc. (KCFI) and the Department of Education (DepEd) activated the emergency education program called “EduKalidad sa Kalamidad” which enables the use of Knowledge Channel and its other platforms online as alternative learning delivery modes in times of crises.
Since the beginning of the campaign in March, teachers, parents and students have been watching educational TV shows on Knowledge Channel and platforms online including knowledgechannel.org, YouTube and DepEd Commons.
Knowledge Channel is also increasing its online activity by posting more educational supplementary content like episode guides, activities, quizzes and more.
The campaign includes the “Stay at Home, Learn at Home” microsite created by KCFI. The new learning platform houses hundreds of educational videos from Grade 1 to Grade 12 based on DepEd’s fourth-quarter lessons. Users can navigate the contents by grade level or subject, or use the search bar to quickly find videos. Each video also has a topic title and description.
The “Stay at Home, Learn at Home” campaign was officially extended as the ECQ continues in Luzon and other parts of the country
