The museum on October 15 hosted a free museum day in celebration of National Museums and Galleries Month. The exhibitions Exposition and Two Halves of a Whole were on view free of admission.
Children and adults alike were treated to a museum experience crafted by the Lopez Museum team, ensuring an enjoyable learning experience.
In the afternoon the Orchestra of the Filipino Youth filled the galleries with music, treating the guests to several pieces, from Mozart’s Allegro Molto to the enjoyable Kalesa by Ernani Cuenco.
As another special event, Exposition guest artists Cian Dayrit and Liv Vinluan walked through the galleries with the museum guests to shed light on their pieces and to flesh out the artists’ perspective of the show. From cartographical treasures to architectural elements, the two artists explained the narratives behind their works.
Donors of Eugenio Lopez Foundation Inc. from the Lopez Group can avail of a 50% discount off the entrance fees. Exposition and Two Halves of a Whole will run until December 23, 2016.
