The Zero-In museum consortium has launched Making Museums Work: A Zero-In Handbook in line with its thrust to promote museum culture and to create better-equipped and better-informed institutions.
The book is one of the pioneering efforts of the fivemember consortium and the Museum Foundation of the Philippines Inc. (MFPI) to reach out to their colleagues by providing a practical guide that engages common concerns and challenges in museum work.
Making Museum Work: A Zero-In Handbook is a comprehensive resource for running sustainable museums within the context of the contemporary space and is geared towards addressing the needs of the everevolving museum-going public.
This specialized collection of essays is written by expert museum professionals who draw from practical and academic knowledge in their specialized fields. Collectively, the writers have decades of professional experience between them.
Apart from specialized essays, the book also utilizes key points learned during the Zero-In workshops where participants shared their museum experiences, challenges and successes.
