League of Corporate Foundation CSR Expo 2014On July 24, the League of Corporate Foundations (LCF) will hold its 13th Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Expo Conference at the Dusit Thani Manila hotel in Makati City. Gathering hundreds of business leaders, society movers, and changemakers  to  discuss the importance of CSR in the country and what it can do to promote inclusive growth for all Filipinos.
 
The theme for this year’s expo is “Commit. Strengthen. Rebuild.” The conference is part of the activities lined up for July as the country celebrates the CSR Month.

Other events include the CSR institute Lecture Series for university students and teachers from July 7 to 22 and the CSR Expo Trade Exhibit on July 29 to 31 at the Glorietta Activity Centers. It will feature the development work of corporations, corporate foundations, and other organizations.

LCF’s five committees will also mount special events from health fora to environmental awareness sessions and education trends discussion in the country. Specifically, “Klima ng Pagbabago sa Nagbabagong Klima” by the Environment Committee on July 22;  “ASEAN Economic Community: Are you Ready?’  by the Enterprise Development Committee on July 25 (morning); “Towards more Strategic CSR in Education” by the Education Committee on July 25 (afternoon), “Hip Hop. Health is Precious, Health is our Priority!” by the Health Committee on July 26 (morning); “Rising from Ruin: The Story of Bohol” by the Arts and Culture Committee on July 26 (afternoon).
 
The League of Corporate Foundations is a network of 83 operating and grant-making corporate foundations and corporations seeking to provide business solutions to social problems in the Philippines through corporate social responsibility (CSR). It has been steadfast in promoting and enhancing the practice of CSR for nation-building by enabling effective and strategic corporate social investments among its members and the larger business community.
