League of Corporate FoundationA high-powered group of speakers will be featured this Friday, July 25, 2014, from 1 p.m. till 6p.m. at the Bulwagang Karunungan, DEPED building, Pasig for LCF's CommEd Forum with the theme "Towards More Strategic CSR in Education."

 

The prominent speakers will be led by DEPED Secretary Armin A. Luistro, FSO who as keynote speaker will present a situationer on Philippine Education.  He will be preceded by Diosdado P. Banatao, CEO of Ikanos Communications and Chair of the Philippine Development foundation who will talk on 21st Century Skills for the Global Filipino. After the intermission number to be provided by Ang Misyon's Orchestra of the Filipino Youth, there will be a panel discussion on "The Impact of Education on Human Capital." Panelists are Guillermo M. Luz, Co-Chair for the Private Sector of the National Council on Competitiveness, Labor Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz; Commissioner Maria Cynthia B. Bautista, PRC member Dr. Jose Y. Cueto, Jr. Panel moderator is Karen Davila of ABSCBN while Marlu Balmaceda of SGV Foundation will moderate the plenary session.

Rina Lopez-Bautista President and Founder of Knowledge Channel FoundationChaired by Rina Lopez-Bautista of Knowledge Channel Foundation, the LCF's Committee on Education will also have a plenary speakers, Washington Z. Sycip who will talk on CSR Wisdom: Inspiring CSR; Oscar M. Lopez of LGFI on CSR Challenges to Corporations; NYP Fil Ship Management President Josephine J. Francisco  and First Asia President. Saturnino Belen who will talk on strengthening commitments to Phil. Education. Former OIC/Secretary of DEPED Dr. Fe A. Hidalgo will provide the synthesis and closing  remarks of the education forum.
