Excellence in Education Transformation Awards (EETA)It was an afternoon like no other for institutions and individuals that received trophies and cash prizes at the Excellence in Education Transformation Awards (EETA).
Now on its fifth year, the EETA recognizes public and private schools, agencies and individuals that have made a significant contribution in the field of education.
Six major awards were given to both public and private institutions: Lawit Elementary School, Department of Education (DepEd)Schools Division of Carcar, DepEd-Schools Division of Camiguin, Chiang Kai Shek College, Create and Learning Paths School and Diliman Preparatory School.
Rina Lopez-Bautista, president and executive director of Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc. (KCFI), presented the Oscar M. Lopez Award for Educational Leadership to Navotas National High School principal Maria Cristina Robles.
“It is really very fulfilling in the sense that this is the time. I never thought that we will be recognized. I thought all the while that little things we have been doing at Navotas High will not gain the attention of anyone,” said Robles.
Aside from the members of the Lopez family, also present at the ceremony were Bayan Academy president Dr. Eduardo Morato, former DepEd Usec. Rizalino Rivera, REX Bookstore president Don Timothy Buhain and representatives of local government units and other organizations.
