The financial literacy show, now on its third and ongoing season, is a partnership between Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc. (KCFI) and Insular Foundation. It stars Aquino and San Pedro as Jordan and Marla, respectively, who encounter different financial situations.
Selected Grade 9 students who participated in the launch got to preview the show’s new episodes. They were entertained live by the “JaiLene” tandem before the event ended with a simple recognition ceremony.
KCFI was represented by director for Operations Edric Calma, while Insular Foundation was represented by senior assistant vice president and Public Relations head Ana Maria Soriano. Representatives from the Department of Education also graced the launch.
The two new “Estudyantipid” episodes focus on essential finance literacy topics discussed in schools today. The first episode, “Karapatan at Tungkulin ng Isang Mamimili,” is a practical discussion on how to spend and budget money wisely by knowing one’s consumer rights. It shares several tips on becoming wise buyers.
The second episode, “Pamumuhunan Para sa Ekonomiya,” focuses on the importance of investing in an insurance policy. Marla and Jordan discover how insurance can be beneficial for the family and for one’s future. The new “Estudyantipid” episodes currently air on the Knowledge Channel.
