The donations will be used to provide safe dental services to the 23 barangays of Kananga.

Items donated include a Midmark M7 SpeedClave, Actus 5000 dental chair, dental stool, portable suction machine, light cure machine and dental scaler.

The renewable energy leader emphasized the need for additional dental equipment and machines to strengthen the dental operations in the community and better serve the residents of the municipality.

“We wanted the equipment to benefit the community through the assistance of the dental health unit. We believe that the DHU plays a vital role in the area. We are pleased to provide additional resources to enhance the community’s ability to treat the oral health needs of its residents,” Erwin Magallanes, EDC’s corporate social responsibility department head in Leyte, noted.

During the formal turnover and the signing of the deed of donation, Kananga mayor Matt Torres expressed his appreciation to EDC for the in-kind donations.

“Our heartfelt gratitude to EDC for your continued support to the local government unit of Kananga. These donations will surely help improve the service in our dental health unit,” he said. (Story/Photos by: Frances Ariola)
