KCFI shares the love of learning to more children through its new shows and in-person training rolloutsKCFI shares the love of learning to more children through its new shows and in-person training rolloutsKnowledge Channel Foundation Inc. (KCFI) continues to spread love with three new shows—“I Love You (ILY) 1000: Batang #Laking1000,” a new season of “Ready, Set, Read!” and “Kwentong Kalikasan.”

“ILY 1000: Batang #Laking1000,” developed in partnership with the Department of Health and the National Nutrition Council, focuses on parenting techniques and advice on raising children during their first 1,000 days, which is known as the “golden window of opportunity” for child development. It airs Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 4 p.m. on Knowledge Channel.
“Ready, Set, Read!,” produced through the Rotary Club of Makati Premier District’s (RCMPD) education project supported by Rotary’s global grant and a host of partner Rotary clubs, teaches the basics of early language literacy for Grade 1.
“Kwentong Kalikasan” is a video project for environmental protection and conservation that airs through KCFI’s partnership with the Association of Young Environmental Journalists. It focuses on stories and works of personalities, conservationists, champions and advocates of the forest landscapes of Bukidnon and Misamis Oriental. The series airs every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 3:40 p.m. in the Grade 8 science block.
“Wow, Leyte!,” meanwhile, features the island of Leyte, its forests and diverse local culture.
KCFI also shared the love of learning and passion for teaching through two in-person training rollouts under its Learning Effectively through Enhanced and Evidence-based Pedagogies training program (LEEP).
The LEEP-Reading rollout was conducted in partnership with RCMPD and other Rotary clubs in the Philippines and South Korea through Rotary’s Global Grant No. 1984848.
LEEP-ECD on the other hand, was conducted for the early childhood development workers/teachers of Lobo, Batangas. It focused on how to stimulate the minds of 0–4- year-old children and guide them in their holistic development. LEEP-ECD was made possible through the Pillar Grant of RCMPD, RC Makati East, RC Rosewood, RC Muntinlupa East and RC District 3620.
