As our learners return to school, the Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc. (KCFI) has been doing its best to show Filipino children everywhere na masayang matuto ng bago!
KCFI launched the newest episodes of its educational travel program, “Wow,” at the LIKAS-Morong (Lipunang Pangkasaysayan ng Morong) History Camp, wherein learners celebrated the rich cultural heritage of Morong and Rizal. The participants also joined a martial law commemoration featuring a screening of “Dekada ‘70” and a discussion with activist and KCFI leader Doris Nuval.
From July to August, the Learning Effectively through Enhanced and Evidence-based Pedagogies (LEEP) training program was conducted in five host communities of KCFI partner First Gen Corporation. Over 300 educators from different areas learned more about modern pedagogies for environmental science. KCFI also trained Grades 3 to 6 teachers from 30 schools on pedagogies for agriculture as part of their Brigada Eskwela, in partnership with the Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Training Institute.

On Aug.17, KCFI attended the Department of Science and Technology-Science and Technology Academic and Research-Based Openly Operated KioskS project’s regional stakeholders’ convention. KCFI vice president Edric Calma delivered a talk on resiliency in education, focusing on the importance of strong foundational skills in early childhood, growth mindset and the use of KCFI video lessons and teacher training programs for learning continuity.
The Department of Education Schools Division Office (SDO) of Lobo, Batangas gave KCFI and other like-minded Lopez Group companies a plaque of recognition for their support of the SDO’s initiatives and the LEEP Science training program for Lobo public schools. This LEEP program is made possible by the Lopez Learning Synergy Summit’s Education Cluster.
