Over a hundred employees across the FPH Group at the launch of ‘Watts Next?’ FP Island Energy Corporation, in collaboration with First Gen Corporation and First Philippine Holdings Corporation (FPH), launched the “Watts Next? Regenerative Solutions for Island Life” program. This ambitious initiative, open to all kapamilya of the FPH Group, is set to transform the island communities in Caramoan and Garchitorena, Camarines Sur.
The launch on Oct. 24 was nothing short of inspiring, with a heartfelt response from 175 registrations for the event. Some gathered in person at the RBC 3-The Hub, while others joined online, signifying the broad appeal and the collective determination to make a difference. The program is more than the usual ideation challenge—it has blossomed into a collaborative movement to transform lives towards creating a regenerative future.
FP Island president and chief operating officer Kokoy Villegas set the tone by echoing FPH Group chairman Federico R. Lopez’s words that being regenerative transcends traditional notions of environmental restoration. It’s about addressing the systemic issues that have made life harder for many and created an ever-widening gap between the affluent and the marginalized. “Watts Next?” is about making things better for everyone, healing communities and elevating lives.
The launch featured a community video story that underscored the transformative power of access to energy. It showcased how electricity could elevate the quality of life in island communities, inspiring hope and ambition for a brighter tomorrow.
The program then shifted gears to a World Cafe, a unique breakout setup akin to speed networking, where communities shared their stories and enriched the discourse on creating regenerative solutions for island life.
In an era when regeneration and community well-being are paramount, the “Watts Next?” program serves as a testament to the power of collective action. As island communities await the innovative solutions and regenerative transformations that the program promises, one thing is clear: the future is bright and, together, we can radiantly light up the islands with hope and prosperity.
