Shanti Dope, Moira dela Torre and IV of Spades topped the MYX Music Awards 2019 nominees, and they are all vying to bag the most coveted recognition—Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Music Video of the Year—from the country’s hottest musical showdown happening on May 15.
Shanti Dope is nominated in seven categories including New Artist of the Year, Male Artist of the Year and Artist of the Year. His single “Nadarang” is a contender for Song of the Year and Urban Video of the Year, while the track “Shantidope” featuring Gloc-9 got nominations for Collaboration of the Year and Music Video of the Year.
Moira also received seven nods, including Mellow Video of the Year, Song of the Year and Music Video of the Year for “Tagpuan,” as well as Female Artist of the Year and Artist of the Year. She’s also nominated for Media Soundtrack of the Year for “Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko” and Collaboration of the Year for “Kung Di Rin Lang Ikaw” with December Avenue.
IV of Spades got five nominations including Group of the Year, Artist of the Year and Song of the Year for “Mundo.” The band also got nods for Rock Video of the Year and Music Video of the Year for “In My Prison.”
Nadine Lustre raked in nominations as Female Artist of the Year and Artist of the Year as well as for Music Video of the Year for“St4y Up” and Media Soundtrack of the Year for “Prom,” a collab with James Reid.
Ben&Ben, Darren Espanto, Julie Anne San Jose and Yeng Constantino, meanwhile, got three nods each.
Other exciting awards to look forward to are Remake of the Year, Music Video Guest Appearance of the Year, International Video of the Year, MYX Bandarito Performance and MYX Celebrity VJ of the Year.
