Coco Martin returns for more action-packed adventures in another Kapamilya teleserye inspired by Fernando Poe Jr.’s (FPJ) 1986 film “Batang Quiapo” that airs weekdays at 8 p.m. on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z and TV5.
After making a mark as the hero cop Cardo Dalisay in “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,” Coco gives life to yet another exciting and resilient “tagapagtanggol ng bayan” character.
Joining him in “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” is a star-studded cast that includes the daughter of FPJ, Lovi Poe, who works on an FPJ title for the first time.
“FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” which is Coco’s first time to serve as an actor, codirector and coproducer under CCM Film Productions, also showcases the rich culture and beauty of Quiapo.
In the action-comedy series, Coco plays Tanggol/Baldo, a stubborn yet loving son to his family, portrayed by Cherry Pie Picache, John Estrada, Charo Santos and McCoy de Leon. Lovi plays Mokang, Tanggol’s charming friend who puts up with his shenanigans.
“FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” also stars Benson Dalina, Mark Lapid, Ronwaldo Martin, Jojit Lorenzo, Ping Medina, Mercedes Cabral, Alan Paule, Lou Veloso, Susan Africa, Pen Medina, Lito Lapid, Irma Adlawan and Christopher de Leon. Malu Sevilla codirects the series with Coco.
Don’t miss “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, TV5, iWantTFC and Kapamilya Online Live on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube channel and Facebook page.
