Lyka Estrella qualified for the ‘Huling Tapatan’ one day before the eventLyka Estrella was crowned as the sixth grand champion of “Tawag ng Tanghalan” (TNT) on “It’s Showtime” after she garnered the highest total combined score from the hurados in the competition’s worldwide-trending grand finals on May 6.

The “resbaker” from General Santos City received a total combined score of 98.9% in the final round to beat Nowi Alpuerto (95.1%) and Jezza Quiogue (89.6%).

As the grand champion, she won P1 million, a house and lot from Camella, a recording contract under Star Music, a management contract under Polaris of Star Magic and a Toym Imao trophy.

Lyka secured her victory in the final round with her Jessie J medley which earned her a standing ovation from hurados Gary Valenciano, Darren, Jona, Klarisse, Erik Santos, Nyoy Volante, Jolina Magdangal, Jed Madela, Marco Sison and Louie Ocampo

After naming its sixth champion, “TNT” opens its doors to past contestants as they pair up to win in “TNT Duets.” Here, the duos will be judged as one, so they need to build teamwork and chemistry to win the hearts of the hurados.

Aside from the spinoff of “TNT,” “It’s Showtime” also introduced its newest girl group called Baby Dolls.

Led by “Girl on Fire” grand winner Mary Delle Cascabel, Baby Dolls’ other members include former “Girl on Fire” contestants Chole Florendo, Kim Dueñas, Ina Ortega, Eriel Reyes, Arianne dela Cruz and Jelai Ahamil plus “Showtime Sexy Babe’s” Juby Sabino and Johaira Moris.
