Cebu-based singer-songwriter Kervin Kane put a pop-rock spin on an ode to moms entitled “Ina Ku Kalasahan” (“Mahal Kong Inay”).
In an interview on MOR Entertainment’s digital show “Good Time ‘To,” Kervin said the song is about a mother who is gone too soon.
Mang Takbil composed the original Tausug song, which now includes additional Tagalog and Cebuano lyrics in the remake. Ryan Sarmiento produced the new single released by ABS-CBN’s rock/alternative label DNA Music.
Kervin is a mellow poprock musician and multi-instrumentalist from Camotes Island, Cebu. He also recently released an original song, “Pelikula,” which has a hit music video featuring the “Pinoy Big Brother: Otso” tandem of Ashley del Mundo and Tan Roncal.
