In celebration of International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) on Sept. 20, 2025, First Gen Corporation’s EmPOWER core team of employee volunteers, together with the First Gen Clean Energy Complex (FGCEC) quality, environment, safety and health group, led a successful coastal cleanup along the FGCEC shoreline in Batangas City.
The activity brought together 224 volunteers from First Gen, its host communities and partners who collected around 209 sacks of trash. Their collective effort prevented waste from polluting the ocean, safeguarded marine life and helped preserve cleaner shores for future generations, aligning with global priorities on healthy oceans and thriving ecosystems (Sustainable Development Goal 14 and SDG 15).
By joining the ICC, First Gen strengthened its role as an environmental steward and advanced its mission of building a regenerative planet in line with its commitment to climate action (SDG 13).
First Gen hopes to inspire lasting action within its workforce and partner communities, reflecting shared commitments to responsible consumption and production (SDG 12) and proving that when people come together, the impact can ripple far and wide.
