Relief missions in Glenda-affected areasHours after typhoon Glenda’s 185 kph winds tore through Albay, Sagip Kapamilya swooped into the capital, Legazpi City, to distribute relief goods to the affected families.
A total of 407 families received relief goods from ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Inc.’s emergency humanitarian assistance arm on July 16. According to program director Jun Dungo, the team will also send 2,000 relief packs and 1,000 clothes packs to typhoon victims in Bataan and Zambales. (watch report here).
In addition to these areas, Sagip Kamilya is conducting relief missions in Sorsogon, Camarines Sur, Naga and Laguna as well as Metro Manila.
Sagip Kapamilya logoTyphoon Glenda, which entered the Philippine area of responsibility on July 13, affected a total of 1,006, 360 persons. More than 700,000 of the affected individuals are based in the Bicol region, with CALABARZON accounting for at least 200,000 persons.
