As we slowly emerge from the pandemic and look to 2023 with much hope and positivity, we feel gratitude that whatever stage of life we are at, there are blessings to be thankful for.
This year brought about renewed opportunities for our family to come together as COVID restrictions across the country loosened and vaccines became more widely available. While virtual gatherings allowed our family to stay connected amid the pandemic, I truly cherish the simple joys of being able to see the faces and smiles of loved ones in person.
December 30th has always held special meaning for me, as it is the day of my wedding anniversary. As many of you may know, I lost my wife and life companion, Connie, early this year.
Connie’s impact on us has been truly immeasurable. While it has been a challenge to navigate life in her absence, this sense of loss is evidence that our family’s memories and deep love for her will endure in each one of us.
In the midst of Connie’s passing, I am blessed by my growing family’s continued unity. I am likewise grateful for old friends and colleagues who have taken the time to visit and reconnect over the past year. These opportunities to revisit fond memories never fail to have a reenergizing and uplifting effect.
I look forward to a holiday season and new year filled with remembrance, reflection, gratitude and wish the same for you and your families.
