Phil-Asia Assistance Foundation Inc. (PAAFI) is founded by Roberto M. Lopez (RML), the youngest son of Eugenio Lopez Sr., soon after he returns from exile

PAAFI runs a drop-in center in Malate, Manila in partnership with US-based organization Philippine International Aid

1992

RML passes away at age 42

1996

PAAFI marks its 10th anniversary led by chair Presentacion L. Psinakis (PLP)

2014

Reports a total of 11,523 scholars enrolled since its inception


2015

Has a total of 1,259 elementary, high school and college students enrolled, making it a milestone year for PAAFI

Launches its portable library project in two parishes in Metro Manila

Celebrates its 30th anniversary in November

Maritess Lopez takes over as chairman after PLP’s passing

Four scholars pass the University of the Philippines College Admission Test, making it PAAFI’s best performance so far in the examinations
