ABS-CBN Corporation won the Grand Anvil Award—the highest form of recognition for a public relations program in the country—for its “Tulong Na, Tabang Na, Tayo Na” campaign at the 50th Anvil Awards hosted by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines.
The “Tulong Na, Tabang Na, Tayo Na” campaign, which also won a Gold Anvil, brought relief and rehabilitation for the victims of typhoon Pablo, the Bohol quake and typhoon Yolanda in 2013.
ABS-CBN bagged a total of eight awards for its outstanding PR programs and tools in this year’s Anvil Awards, considered the Oscars of the public relations industry in the country.
SKY Cable Corporation won a Gold Anvil under the PR Tools category for its 2013 campaign “Tugon ng SKY sa Yolanda: Saya at Pag-asa Para sa Kapamilyang Nasalanta,” which provided Yolanda survivors with free TV viewing stations in Tacloban and Villamor Air Base.
ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra’s “Spotlight Series: The Music of Ryan Cayabyab, the “Heartthrobs on 30” online contest for employees, the “Pamilya OnGuard” campaign and The Filipino Channel’s “Boto Mo Kinabukasan ng Bawat Pilipino” also received a Silver Anvil each.
The commuter safety mobile app “PasaHero,”The Kapamilya network also collected 10 awards at the 23rd Golden Dove Awards of the Kapisanan ng Brodkaster ng Pilipinas, including Best TV Station- Metro Manila for Channel 2; Best AM Station-Metro Manila for DZMM; Best Public Service Program for “Failon Ngayon”; Best Drama Program for “The Legal Wife”; Best Public Affairs Host for Atom Araullo; Best Actress for Drama Program for Bea Alonzo; and Best Actor for Drama Program for Jericho Rosales.
