As part of its whole-year silver anniversary celebration, the Lopez Group Comptrollers’ Circle recently held its highly anticipated annual conference, bringing together finance professionals, accounting experts and industry leaders.
The event offered an indepth look at key topics shaping today’s business landscape as the Lopez Group continues to uphold its commitment to financial and accounting excellence, corporate governance and innovation within the ever-changing economic environment.
This year also marks a significant milestone in the life of the Comptrollers’ Circle organization—a quarter century of collaboration, innovation and shared excellence in accounting, taxation, audit, treasury, financial management, corporate governance and other related financial fields.
Expert discussions
The conference featured expert discussions on a wide range of issues, including economic and tax updates, workforce dynamics, cybersecurity, sustainability and year-end audit reminders.
All the sessions were conducted by SGV & Co., the leading and largest professional services firm in the Philippines that provides assurance, consulting, tax, strategy and transactions services. The topics were designed to address the multifaceted challenges faced by organizations today, empowering financial leaders to make informed decisions in their respective roles.
SGV leaders headed by chairman and country managing partner Wilson Tan, deputy managing partner and assurance leader Maria Vivian Ruiz and other partners joined the conference.

Meanwhile, to cap off the year, members can look forward to the Comptrollers’ Circle 25th year general assembly and Christmas fellowship at Rockwell Business Center Ortigas Tower 3 on Dec. 6.
The Comptrollers’ Circle is headed by Lopez Holdings Corporation president, chief operating officer and chief financial officer Salvador Tirona. Executive core members are Lanie Caimol of Lopez Holdings, Jingle Hernandez of Lopez Inc., Mina Ubaña of First Gen Corporation, Ellen Almodiel of Rockwell Land Corporation, Loraine Atienza of ABS-CBN and Jei-Jei Gertes of Third Generation Holdings Corporation who emceed the event.
