Vacancy: Output-Based Editor
Applications are invited for the position of Output-Based Editor for The Oscar M. Lopez Center for Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Management Foundation Inc. (OML Center). The Editor will be in-charge of ensuring language quality of entries included in the first issue of the Climate, Disaster, and Development Journal.
Key Responsibilities: Edit and proofread articles thoroughly to eliminate all the spelling and grammatical mistakes Implement the rules and policies of the journal Perform all other project-related duties that may be assigned from time to time Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communication or any other relevant field. Exposure in a similar profile with a responsible experience in journalism, editing or research will prove to be beneficial. Work experience in publication, academic or research firm with basic knowledge and understanding of climate science, disasters risk reduction and management, and sustainable development Excellent written and oral communication skills with good command over the language Duration: The period of employment is on-call basis; August-September as first project call. |
