Rockwell: A Christmas to remember

Twitter

A light moment with the men and women of ISSA light moment with the men and women of ISSAll the well-loved hallmarks of a Rockwell and Power Plant Mall Christmas are back in their sparkling, shimmering glory—but with unexpected updates that will surely make #ChristmasAtRockwell 2017 stand out.

Manila’s fashionable mall went with a predominantly green, red, gold and silver color palette for the holidays, slightly modifying last year’s look by wrapping the hallway lights with wreaths.

For the first time, there are no lights, wreaths, stars or any other decorations hanging from the ceiling. This freed up the space for a major tweak and a #ChristmasAtRockwell scene-stealer—the towering Christmas tree at the Concourse Level. Slender and minimally bedecked with red and gold balls and golden fairy lights, the new addition reaches all the way to the mall’s ceiling. Its central location near the restaurants makes it yet another selfie hot spot within the mall.

The singing animatronic animals—reindeer, flamingos, penguins, lions, tigers, zebras and a giraffe—are back and are more Instagrammable than ever.

If guests don’t run into Santa Claus roaming around the mall on the weekends, they may head over to Santa’s Wishing Station or to Santa’s Workshop, where he just might be checking if anyone left some cookies and milk for him.

The weekends of December are also the time for Musical Christmas, when the metro’s best choirs will transport families and other visitors to a virtual winter wonderland.

Meanwhile, early birds had swooped down on fab finds at Rockwell’s Weekend Market at the One Rockwell Retail Row. Held on the last weekend of November and the first weekend of December, the artisanal market was one of this season’s go-to spots for homemade and organic goodies.

Have wheels, will go shopping! Of course, it won’t be a proper #ChristmasAtRockwell without the much-anticipated Christmas Raffle!

Until January 31, 2018, shoppers will get a raffle stub every time they shop at retail establishments in the Rockwell residential towers (P1,000 minimum receipt), Power Plant Mall (P2,000 minimum receipt) and at Marketplace by Rustan’s (P3,000 minimum receipt). A Mercedes Benz C180 will get a new owner during the Christmas Raffle Draws on December 25, 2017 and February 1, 2018.

To further sweeten the Christmas Raffle pot, Rockwell will give each winner a shopping spree worth P50,000 if they are present at the actual draws.

Rockwell also has a special treat for shoppers who rack up a total of P500,000 in receipts until January 31, 2018. In addition to getting Elite VIP rewards, the super shoppers will have a shot at driving home in a lovely SUV. The Elite VIP Car Raffle draw will be held at 5 p.m. on February 1, 2018 after the draw for the second Mercedes-Benz C180 sedan in the regular raffle. Since membership to the Power Plant Mall Elite VIP Club is limited, one can imagine that his or her odds of winning the Mercedes-Benz GLC250 AMG are very good, indeed.

With Power Plant Mall’s famous Christmas décor, raffle, jungle critters, choral concerts and all the other ingredients that make up #ChristmasAtRockwell, plus just the right amount of magic, you’ve definitely got a holiday season to remember!
