Themed “Action with Impact,” the AWC highlighted and promoted the role, relevance and contributions of accountancy in nationbuilding, economic development and good governance. Specifically, the celebration aimed to promote awareness of the value and importance of accountancy in both the public and private sectors, foster unity and camaraderie among CPAs across different sectors and regions, and engage stakeholders, including students, educators, regulators and the business community, in activities that promote ethcs, excellence and innovation in the profession.

The AWC also aimed to enhance professional development through seminars, workshops and knowledge-sharing events, encourage community involvement through corporate social responsibility initiatives and outreach programs, and inspire the next generation of CPAs by involving accountancy students in meaningful activities that showcase the profession’s impact.
