Belle Mariano and Donny Pangilinan deliver their most honest and realistic movie yet, “Tayo Sa Wakas,” helmed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana and set to hit Philippine cinemas on May 27, 2026.

Star Cinema’s first movie offering for 2026 revolves around Cheska (Belle) and Cisco (Donny), a longtime couple who are forced to confront how their ambitions have set them on different paths.

Direk Cathy said: “It’s a trip of two people para alamin kung talaga bang sila ay dapat matapos na o magpatuloy pa. I can say it’s about someone who wants to reach a dream, pero ano ang gagawin mo kung ang kalaban mo sa pag-abot ng pangarap na ‘yun ay yung taong
mahal mo.”

Vanessa Valdez, who wrote the film, reiterated Belle and Donny’s nuanced, mature and grounded take on tackling Cheska and Cisco’s relationship journey. “It shows something more complex, and mas mature yung roles nila dito pero at the same time also very grounded,”
she said.

Donny shared: “You’ll start with the kilig, the honeymoon phase, then you go to the realization that you become familiar with each other and doon na ‘yung problems na mag-a-arise. So I think it’s a combination of all our characters in different stages of their lives.”

“Tayo Sa Wakas” will be Belle and Donny’s last project together as a love team, and Belle believes that the film is a perfect fit as it highlights their growth over the many years of their pairing.

Belle said: “Donny and I have been vocal about it na we just don’t wanna be DonBelle, we also wanna be Donny and Belle. I feel like this is the perfect project for it since it shows so much growth and maturity and it requires so much authenticity from the both of us.”

“Tayo Sa Wakas” will have global screenings in Australia and New Zealand starting June 11; the US, Canada and Guam beginning June 12; and Hong Kong and Macau starting June 20. It will also be showing in cinemas in the Middle East, Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan.
