How much does quality education cost in the Philippines? Broadcast journalist Ted Failon examines it in the award-winning current affairs program “Failon Ngayon” this Saturday (May 24).

For Filipinos, education has been considered the most effective way to get out of poverty. This is why parents are eager to support the studies of their children.

But why do many Filipinos still struggles to send their children or even themselves to school?

Ted also looks into the 9,000 slots recently opened by the Philippine National Police (PNP) for aspiring police officers. How does PNP choose its personnel?
