The Lopez Achievement Awards’ 13th cycle matched the previous years’ output with 11 winners, plus a special awardee in the person of a longtime Kapamilya, Tina Monzon Palma.

Customer focus centers on introduction, enhancement and quality improvement of products and services, customer service and customer relations, leading to customer delight and satisfaction. This year, there are three winners from ABS-CBN Corporation in this category: ‘60 Years of Philippine Television: Kwento Natin Ito—Celebrating the Shared Story of ABS-CBN and the Filipinos,” “Kapamilya Kita: SKY’s Personal Concierge Service Spreads the Gospel of “WOW at Saya” to Subscriber” and “Halalan 2013: Selling the Midterm Election Coverage to a Diverse Audience.’
Business Management
Business management deals with the strategic positioning, business growth and management of assets or funds, liabilities and equities leading to attainment of strategic objectives, high financial returns or increase in shareholder value. This year’s winner is Asian Eye Institute for their “Quick Turnaround from an Imminent Loss” program.
Operations Management
Operations Management deals with the administration and improvement of processes, systems and capabilities, leading to productivity, organizational effectiveness and efficiency. The winners for this category are First Gen Hydro’s “Relentless Pursuit to Restore Pantabangan Unit 1 Averts P690-Million Revenue Loss” and Energy Development Corporation’s (EDC) “Immediate Return to Service of Leyte Geothermal Business Unit Power Plants.’
Corporate Image Building
Corporate Image Building speaks of the proactive communication through word or deed by company and group values, directions, activities and governance systems with relevant stakeholders, leading to positive corporate image and business reputation. The winner is ABS-CBN’s “Animo SKY Zambo: The Spirit of SKY-Zamboanga.”
Public Responsibility
Public Responsibility covers business ethics, governance, environmental stewardship and community investment leading to a better climate and support structure for the business and better quality of life for its publics. The winners are : ABS-CBN’s “Failon Ngayon”: Moving People to Action—Internationally Recognized People’s Partner in Bringing about Positive Change in the Philippines,” ABS-CBN’s “Ang Tugon ng SKY sa Yolanda: Saya at Pag-Asa Para Sa Kapamilyang Nasalanta,” EDC’s “Humanity, Humility and Hope: Our Story of Kapamilya Spirit Shining Through Despite the Yolanda Crisis” and ABS-CBN’s “Tulong Na, Tabang Na, Tayo Na: A Paradigm Shift in Disaster Response Management.”

Launched in 2002, the Lopez Achievement Awards (LAA) has been responsible for giving recognition to outstanding work-related accomplishments of project teams and individual employees in the Lopez Group. For individuals, the achievement must have had an impact not only within his or her company but also among the Lopez Group and even beyond it.
Teams and individuals are judged based on the following criteria - demonstrate Lopez Group core values, significantly contribute to the business or organization's objectives and the exemplary achievement.
