The August 4 ceremony also served as a tribute to Presentacion L. Psinakis or PLP, who passed away on July 25, 2017.

Lopez Inc. senior executive vice president Benjamin R. Lopez (BRL) read the opening remarks in behalf of ABS-CBN chairman Eugenio Lopez III. The “Tribute to Tita Presy” revisited the life of the Lopez Inc. chair, an outspoken activist who had dedicated much of her life to championing the cause of education for the youth.

Lopez Holdings chairman Manuel M. Lopez delivered the evening’s inspirational message, calling on those present to emulate the life of PLP, who fought for freedom with integrity and with passion.

Mary Jane Pagkalinawan and Edsel Sanchez were the longest-serving awardees in this year’s batch, having been with Lopez Inc. for 25 years.

Yiessa Borbon and Ma. Zenaida Ibañez were recognized for their 10 years and five years of service to Lopez Holdings Corporation, respectively.

Four five-year awardees represented Lopez Group Foundation Inc.—Roger Agaton, Jose Carlos Campos, Monica Tan and Angela L. Guingona.

Also five-year awardees were INAEC Aviation Corporation’s Aldi Dexter Ampong, Glenn Perez and Dennis Silvestre. BRL received special recognition for 10 years of service to INAEC as president.

Lopez Group chairman emeritus Oscar M. Lopez led the toast to the awardees to close the program.
