HR Council chairperson Cedie Lopez-Vargas (left) HR Council chairperson Cedie Lopez-Vargas (left)Around 800 employees of the Lopez Group, accompanied by their family members and friends, made their way to Rockwell Center for the Lopez HR Council-Lopez Lifelong Wellness Walk the Talk (WTT) on November 17.

Registration for the November WTT started around 6 a.m. As the participants trickled in, they were given bananas, mineral water, taho and disposable rain jackets.

The month’s WTT was sponsored by Rockwell Land Corporation, Asian Eye Institute, Terraprime and ThermaPrime.

Rockwell EVP and chief finance and compliance officer Ellen Almodiel led the invocation, while EVP and chief revenue officer Val Soliven delivered the welcome remarks.

Asian Eye quality, environment, safety and health officer Noemi Mojares led the recitation of the Lopez Credo and Values

The November birthday celebrants were also invited onstage by emcees Joel Nobleza and Thamar Olaivar of Rockwell.

Before striking out, everyone took part in adrenaline-pumping exercises courtesy of the Rockwell Club to prepare them for the long walk, as well as the security briefing courtesy of Mojares.

During the walk, the participants got a closer look at the surrounding areas in Rockwell Center as it was gearing up for the holidays. (Story/Photos by: Gerbs de Castro)
