The special event, “Dear Heart—Emotional Awareness and Coping Skills in the Workplace,” offered a unique chance for the team to delve into the realms of emotional intelligence and arm themselves with vital coping mechanisms.

On Feb. 16, 2024, Rainier Ladic, MA, RPsy, founder of The Juan Psychologist, adeptly highlighted the significance of acknowledging and comprehending our emotions. He emphasized that heightened emotional awareness can result in enhanced interpersonal relationships and better communication within the team.

At the core of the discussion was the introduction of practical coping mechanisms customized for the workplace setting. Ladic offered a toolbox of strategies aimed at effectively navigating stress, pressure and challenging circumstances. From mindfulness exercises to stress-management techniques, each coping mechanism was presented with a keen emphasis on feasibility and seamless integration into daily work routines.

The employee engagement team organized the initiative to offer guidance and techniques for individuals to enhance their comprehension and handling of emotions. The aim is to cultivate a workplace environment that is more emotionally intelligent and supportive, prioritizing the welfare and wellness of every employee. (Story/Photos by: Enjay Ricohermoso)
