The Lopez Group’s Comptrollers’ Circle celebrated its 26th general assembly and Christmas fellowship at the Rockwell Business Center Tower in Ortigas Center on Dec. 5, 2025.
More than 250 accounting and finance personnel from across the Lopez Group participated in the daylong event, which began with a thanksgiving Mass and featured insightful presentations, including “Building A Better You: Positive Psychology for Personal Growth,” “Digital Fraud and Fraud Trends,” “Financial Wellness— Invest Early, Live Comfortably,” “Unlocking Efficiency Through Automation” and “Fortifying Cyber Resilience—The Business Perspective.”
A highlight of the program was the inspirational message from Ernie Lopez, ABS-CBN Foundation Inc. advocacy ambassador, complemented by the career journey sharing of Vivian Cruz-Ruiz, the longtime SGV & Co. partner who has supported the group through various technical trainings and updates over the years.
Since its inception, the Comptrollers’ Circle has been a beacon of excellence, collaboration and professional growth within the Lopez Group. The organization provides a platform for accounting and finance leaders to exchange ideas, enhance their skills and stay at the forefront of industry developments. Today, it stands as a vital network of accounting, tax and finance professionals committed to excellence, ethical conduct and innovation.
The circle actively supports the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), the country’s premier national organization of CPAs. Several officers and members recently attended PICPA’s 80th Annual National Convention at the SMX Mall of Asia. Notably, Jei-Jei Gertes, a key officer of the circle, was recognized as one of the Outstanding CPAs in Commerce & Industry for his exemplary leadership, contributions to corporate governance and financial stewardship and dedication to advancing the accounting profession.
The executive core team of the Comptrollers’ Circle includes Salvador G. Tirona (Lopez Holdings Corporation), Jingle Hernandez (Lopez Inc.), Lanie Caimol (Lopez Holdings), Mina Ubaña (First Philippine Holdings Corporation), Ellen Almodiel (Rockwell Land Corporation), Lorraine Atienza (ABS-CBN) and JeiJei Gertes (Third Generation Holdings Corporation).
