OLFU, through its College of Respiratory Therapy, firmed up its partnership with MSAPH through a memorandum of agreement that top officials of both companies signed during a signing ceremony at OLFU’s campus in Valenzuela City on Aug. 14, 2025.

“This MOA not only supports OLFU students in their professional journey but also strengthens the pipeline of skilled respiratory therapists in the Philippines, ensuring that local healthcare keeps pace with international standards,” said Dean Hernan Labao of OLFU.

For his part, Erwin Chuaunsu of MSA-PH said: “This landmark partnership positions OLFU and MSA-PH at the forefront of respiratory therapy education and clinical practice that will build bridges between the academe and the health care industry and nurture the country’s next generation of respiratory care professionals.”

The partnership underscores a shared commitment between the two entities to elevating respiratory therapy in the Philippines by aligning academic training with real-world clinical expertise.

To achieve their shared goal, OLFU’s College of Respiratory Therapy and MSA-PH will collaborate on scholarships, internships, research and academic events designed to empower students and prepare them for local and global health care careers.

Specifically, MSA-PH will provide support for OLFU’s scholarship programs, participate in career talks and recruitment sessions, offer internship centers for students, provide resource speakers and cardiopulmonary learning materials for respiratory therapy events and highlight OLFU in MSAPH’s website and promotional campaigns. Fatima University will select and endorse qualified students to MSA-PH, provide timely notice for recruitments, internships and educational events, coordinate with MSAPH for requests on learning equipment and materials, and supply information needed for promotional and partnership visibility.

MSA-PH, a subsidiary of First Philippine Holdings Corporation, is a comprehensive health care company that provides, among other things, outsourced cardiopulmonary services, equipment rentals and home care services. Close to 40 hospitals around the country have forged partnerships with MSA-PH.
