AMML discusses the country’s role in various aspects of PH-Japan relationsAmbassador Manuel M. Lopez (AMML) invited Japanese entrepreneurs to invest in the manufacturing and business processing service sectors in the Philippines as he cited the skills, positive work attitude and English proficiency of the large Filipino workforce as among the key factors for a mutually beneficial business venture.
AMML met Japanese business executives and government officials during separate remarks before the members of the TOA General Institute and at the 20th anniversary of the ROCOCO company in Tokyo.
The TOA General Institute is a private business thinktank that promotes business opportunities for Japanese investors, cultural exchanges and Japanese brands by conducting seminars, workshops and meetings of its members with diplomats, foreign business executives and government officials. The ROCOCO is a Japanese IT enterprise with business interests in the Philippines.
In his remarks at the TOA General Institute, AMML presented a detailed overview of the strategic partnership of the Philippines in the economic, regional security, tourism, development cooperation, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief and cultural aspects of bilateral relations.
At the ROCOCO anniversary, meanwhile, AMML cited the huge opportunity for knowledge sharing and human resource development in the IT sector for Philippine and Japanese entrepreneurs. (Excerpted from http://www.tokyo.philembassy.net)
