First Balfour has installed a 100-kilowatt peak solar rooftop in its corporate office in Sucat, Parañaque.
In its next step towards promoting sustainability,The 400-photovoltaic module system was energized in November 2016 in time for the company’s 47th anniversary. The solar rooftop is expected to generate an average of 144,900 kilowatt-hours annually. This will reduce the facility’s power consumption costs by 33% every month. Being the very first Building for Ecologically Responsive Design Excellence (BERDE)-certified facility in the Philippines, the First Balfour head office is also equipped with a rainwater harvesting system and energy-efficient lighting.
