ABS-CBN still undisputed leader in May

ABS-CBN LogoABS-CBN LogoABS-CBN is still the most watched TV network nationwide as it registered an average audience share of 44% versus GMA’s 31%, according to data from Kantar Media.

The Kapamilya network’s leadership in ratings is evident in its programs that have consistently topped the list of most watched shows nationwide, with “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” (37%) keeping its claim as the number one program that Filipinos watch. Angel Locsin’s action-packed “The General’s Daughter” (31.2%) followed closely in the second spot.

“Search for the Idol Philippines” (28.8%) kept its throne as the top-of-mind weekend show nationwide, followed by “TV Patrol” (27.3%).

Completing the top 10 are “Maalaala Mo Kaya” (25.6%), “Kadenang Ginto” (25.3%), “Hiwaga ng Kambat” (23.1%) and “Home Sweetie Home: Extra Sweet” (22.7%).

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN conquered all time blocks in May, particularly in prime time where it recorded an average audience share of 47% compared to GMA’s 33%.

The Kapamilya network also ruled the morning block with an average audience share of 34% versus GMA’s 30%; the noontime block with 43%, beating GMA’s 31%; and the afternoon block with 50%, 20 points higher than GMA’s 30%. (Story/Photos by: Kane Choa)
