The Quezon City Task Force on Anti-Dangling Wires under the Department of Engineering held a coordination meeting with telco operators in March to address and curb the increasing cases of illegal cable cutting within the city. They committed to provide additional patrol units to actively monitor hot spots, remove dangling wires and hold regular coordination meetings with all parties concerned. Meanwhile, Mayor Francis Zamora of San Juan expressed his full support for #OplanKontraPutol by enforcing tighter coordination with SKY. San Juan is among the top cities with many cases of illegal cable cutting. Other cities in Metro Manila with the most reported cases of illegal cable cutting include Quezon City, Manila, Las Piñas, Parañaque and Pasig. Still part of the #OplanKontraPutol campaign, these community relations efforts are part of SKY’s ongoing initiatives to strengthen its information dissemination, improve coordination among local government unit officials and authorities and enhance its patrolling system in the metro.
