AT the LINKED Group, service goes beyond protecting people and properties. It also means taking responsibility for the communities and environments where it operates. Through the active participation of its security personnel in environmental and community initiatives across the Mindanao and Bicol clusters, the LINKED Group continues to put its core value of nationalism into action—demonstrating that caring for its surroundings is a way of caring for the country.
In the Mindanao cluster, the Silver Link security team assigned at Energy Development Corporation’s (EDC) Mount Apo Geothermal Project (MAGP) participated in a joint cleanup drive with fellow contractors last month. The team dedicated their time and effort to clearing and maintaining the area, helping promote cleanliness, site safety and a more orderly workplace. The activity provided an opportunity for the contractors to work together toward a common goal. Through their hands-on involvement, the Silver Link team contributed not only to maintaining the cleanliness of the EDC-MAGP site but also to strengthening cooperation and teamwork among the different groups working in the area.
In the Bicol cluster, Silver Link security personnel assigned at EDC Bacon-Manito took part in community cleanup initiatives in Sorsogon City. All incoming guards participated in a cleanup drive in Brgy. Rizal, Sorsogon City. The activity focused on maintaining a clean, safe and healthy environment while fostering positive relations with the local community. The team’s community involvement continued a few days later with another cleanup drive at Km. 14 in Sorsogon City.
From the worksite in Mindanao to the surrounding communities of Bicol, these activities show how LINKED personnel actively contribute beyond their regular security duties. Their participation reflects a willingness to lend a hand, work alongside others and help maintain cleaner and safer environments.
