GOLDILOCKS Bakeshop Inc. has tapped the First Gen Group to build and manage a solar power facility that will supply clean energy to its Cebu production plant, while Fly Ace Corporation has likewise partnered with First Gen to directly source renewable electricity for its operations.

Goldilocks and First Gen officials announced their partnership last month after formally inaugurating the 516-kilowattpeak solar photovoltaic (PV) system that First Gen constructed for the Goldilocks commissary in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

Under the solar power purchase agreement that both companies finalized in November 2025, First Gen constructed and installed the
solar PV system at the Goldilocks commissary and will maintain this for the next 10 years.

“We are pleased to begin this partnership with First Gen to help us achieve our sustainability goals. So far, we have started to see tangible results from our ability to generate part of our energy requirements from solar energy. Our solar power gives us a level of comfort in terms of power supply stability and security while contributing to environment preservation,” said Marilou Plando, Goldilocks head of manufacturing for Visayas.

“We are privileged to help empower Goldilocks in generating their own solar power. We look forward to a deeper partnership and collaboration with them as we move forward with our shared vision towards a decarbonized future,” said Mark Malabanan, head of solar and commercial business of First Gen.

Meanwhile, First Gen’s agreement with Fly Ace, finalized in April 2026, enables Fly Ace to aggregate around 1,420 kilowatts of power demand for its corporate offices in Pasay City and other company sites in Manila and Sta. Rosa, Laguna, with First Gen, and directly source power supply from the Unified Leyte geothermal plants.

“We are at a point where we would like to grow responsibly and sustainably, making a more meaningful impact beyond building strong consumer brands. Our partnership with First Gen will enable us to expand our business
while reducing our carbon footprint and optimizing our power consumption in the process,” said Fly Ace Corporation president Lucio Cochanco Jr.

“It is a privilege to forge a collaborative partnership with Fly Ace as they aim to improve operational efficiency while establishing sustainability goals. We are committed to supporting them in achieving milestones in their decarbonization journey,” said First Gen chief customer engagement officer Carlo Vega.
