INAEC Aviation Corporation and PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI), Indonesia’s leading aerospace company, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at the Singapore Airshow on Feb. 4, 2026, marking a significant step toward strengthening aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capabilities in the Philippines.
The agreement was signed by INAEC president Benjamin R. Lopez (BRL) and PTDI president Gita Amperiawan.
The MOU focuses on cooperation in the development of airplane and helicopter MRO services for both private and government operators in the country. PTDI is the manufacturer of the NC212i, a twin engine light transport aircraft primarily used for cargo, humanitarian and military missions.
The MOU positions INAEC as a key maintenance and technical support partner for the NC212i, which is used across different countries in Asia, including Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam.
“Collaboration with INAEC is a strategic step for PTDI in strengthening our role as a regional MRO service provider,” said Moh. Arif Faisal, director of commerce, technology and development at PTDI. “By emphasizing sustainability, technical support and human resource development, this cooperation is expected to address the needs of operators in the Philippines in a sustainable manner.”
“INAEC welcomes the opportunities made possible by this agreement, particularly in the areas of technology transfer and knowledge sharing, to support both private and government aviation requirements,” said BRL
Discussions between INAEC and PTDI began in late 2025 as part of PTDI’s initiative to strengthen its support network in the Asia-Pacific region. PTDI representatives conducted site visits to INAEC’s facilities in Manila and Clark, gaining firsthand insight into INAEC’s aircraft maintenance, management and operational capabilities.
This was followed by INAEC’s visit to PTDI’s facilities in Bandung, Indonesia, where the framework for collaboration was further developed, culminating in the execution of the MOU
