The LINKED Group emergency and disaster response program conducted a full-scale simulation exercise (SIMEX) across Metro Manila, Rizal and Batangas on Oct. 16, 2025.Rescue

The exercise aimed to evaluate the organization’s readiness in responding to large-scale emergencies, specifically simulating a magnitude 7.2 earthquake with its epicenter near Kapitolyo in Pasig.

Supervised by Lt. Col. Ramilino Aspiras (ret.) as exercise director, alongside observers from First Philippine Holdings Corporation’s (FPH) crisis management team, the three-hour drill tested the coordination, response capabilities and decision-making processes of LINKED’s security first responders, emergency medical technicians and emergency response teams.

Upon the issuance of a high alert level, all response units were mobilized to conduct a rapid damage and needs assessment. Teams executed key operations such as establishing contact with affected individuals

administering first aid and psychological support, providing real-time situation updates and conducting medical evacuation of affected individuals to designated safe zones and hospitals.

The simulation also tested the functionality of both primary givand alternate communication systems as well as the coordination between the safety and security operations center, FPH emergency operations center and other key stakeholders.

The exercise demonstrated the LINKED Group’s operational capability to manage large-scale incidents efficiently while ensuring business continuity for its clients. It provided valuable lessons to enhance preparedness, interagency coordination and rapid response efficiency during real emergencies.

Through initiatives like the SIMEX, the LINKED Group reaffirms its commitment to safety, preparedness and operational excellence, ensuring that its personnel remain ready to respond effectively to any disaster scenario.
