In the aftermath of successive intense typhoons that caused severe flooding, the LINKED Group’s motorized roving team assigned to the Maynilad security detachment showcased exceptional preparedness and dedication through a timely rescue operation in Parañaque City.
Twenty-six Maynilad personnel were stranded inside the water reclamation facility where floodwaters rose as high as six feet. The roving team, equipped with two rescue boats, swiftly evacuated all affected employees and made sure everyone was accounted for with no injuries reported. The rescued individuals were transported to an elevated structure through areas still submerged in five feet of floodwaters.
In addition to the evacuation, the team distributed food packs to address the immediate needs of the rescued personnel.
At another Maynilad site in Ipo Dam, Bulacan, the response team quickly cleared and trimmed a large fallen tree that had blocked a critical access route. The obstruction posed serious risks to pedestrians, vehicles and nearby infrastructure, particularly amid the ongoing inclement weather.
The team was able to remove the debris without any reported injuries or damage to property.
Their prompt action exemplified effective coordination and a strong commitment to public safety.
These efforts reflect the LINKED Group’s steadfast commitment to strengthening business resilience and maintaining seamless operational continuity for its clients. More importantly, they underscore the company’s dedication to safeguarding and supporting workers in vital industries during natural calamities, ensuring uninterrupted business operations even in the face of adversity.
